Obituary For Joe Willie Williams

Joe Willie Williams was born May 17, 1946 in Joiner, Arkansas the son of Joe Edward Williams and Lucille Wiley-Brown Joe attended Rosenwald High School. At the young age of 17, he was drafted into the US Army where he served in the Vietnam War, 101st Airborne division as a platoon leader. He loved music and was a JAZZ Enthusiast as well as a wildlife fanatic, which included big cats and fishing. He meant so much to so many... a man who had faith in God and believed in the importance of family. He was a protector, mentor and friend, who will always be remembered.

Joe passed away Sunday, January 29, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 75.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Hazel B. Walters-Williams of the home, five daughters, Felicia Byrd, Rochell Williams, Connie Williams-Blackwell, Vivian Williams and Melanie Williams; three brothers, Hubert Brown, Tony Brown, and Eddie Brown; three sisters, Leola Robinson, Judy Brown and Helen Brown; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 East State Hwy 158, Luxora, Arkansas where Reverend McArthur Hampton is the pastor. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend McArthur Hampton will deliver the eulogy with interment in Luxora City Cemetery.
