"Sunset and evening star and one clear call for me, and may there be no mourning at the bar when I put out to sea." Samuel Terry, 102, widower of Jessie L. Terry, of the Big Survey Community of Yemassee, SC, passed from mortal to immortal on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, SC. Born in Jasper County, he was the last of nine born to the late Harry Terry and Ella Griffin Terry. Mr. Terry got a job at Big Survey Plantation in 1942 and has stayed there with his family for the last 76 year. He retired in March of 2017, He and his late wife had 10 children, 42 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren, and 45 great great grandchildren. He was a member of the Praise Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, Ruffin, SC.

The hours of visitation will be on Friday, February 4, 2022 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 2:00 pm in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Center, 3763 Bees Creek Road, Ridgeland, SC. Burial will follow in the Rockspring Cemetery, Grays, SC.

ALL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CDC GUIDELINES FOR COVID 19, SOCIAL DISTANCING AND FACIAL MASK.
