Ms. Teresa Sharlene Smith was born March 23, 1966 in Albany, Georgia, the daughter of the late Roswell B. Smith, II and Juanita W. Smith. She departed this life on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Phoebe Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Teresa was a kind and gentle spirit who positively impacted everyone around her. She loved, supported, and cherished her family, friends, as well as her baseball family. She was widely known for expertise in bowling, love for cooking and high demand as a BASEBALL MOM.

Teresa’s educational journey began at Monroe High School in Albany, Georgia. She was a member of the class of 1983. She loved her green and gold and represented “THE TORNADOES” with pride and dignity. After high school Teresa attended Albany State College and Albany Technical College. Teresa enjoyed her time as a Master Cosmetologist with Regis in the Albany Mall. She was actively working at Hamilton Telecommunications as a Customer Service Representative.

Teresa also served as a Voting Polls manager in Dougherty County.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roswell B. Smith, II, and two uncles Joseph Smith and James Smith.

She leaves to cherish her legacy three sons, Kristopher (Anna) A. Smith, Justin A. Smith, James A. Smith of Albany, GA; Mother Juanita W. Smith of Albany, Georgia, Sister Shannon (David) C. Thomas, Washington DC, Brothers Roswell B. Smith, III, Atlanta, Georgia, Ralph Mallory, Atlanta, Georgia, Jamaal Smith, Albany, Georgia; three aunts; Joan Hawkins, Desi Hawkins, and Marilyn Sancho and Uncle Billy (Joelles) White; two grandchildren, Kristopher A. Smith, Jr., Kirsten A. Smith; six nieces, Courtney N. Barnes, Krysha Gray, Brittany A. Smith, Rodeshia Eady, Erin A. Smith, Sydney A. Thomas; four nephews, Desean Paul, McKenzie Hall, Malik Moore, and Ken Bishop. Special friends; LaSheka A. Fortson, Yolanda B. Sheppard, Walter C. Gordon III, Gail Jenkins, Mitzi Ferguson, Carol Bishop, Ernestine Winchester, Charlene Sams, Jackie Young, Cynthia Walker, Ingrid Driskell, Tammy Jones, Patricia Hamilton, Lydia T. Walker, Demetrius Sheffield and a host of other family and friends.
