Graveside service for Willie Beard, 91, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL 36801, Reverend John Clark will officiate.

Mr. Beard, who passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home in Opelika, AL, was born March 22, 1930 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, February 4, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required)

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Sherry Watford of Boston, MA and Gregory (Stephanie) Jones of Opelika, AL; five grandchildren, Sheree Watford of Boston, MA, Charmel (Takeema) Jones, Chasman Reese, Aubreyana Jones and Amaya Jones all of Opelika, AL; ten great-grandchildren, Jahzelle Bogus, Kordell Bogus of Boston, MA, Jailen Holland, Kahlia Jones, Chyna Jones, Kennedy Reese, Caleb Jones, London Reese, Chase Reese and Autumn Reese all of Opelika, AL; one brother in law, Samuel Minnifield; a devoted niece, Deborah Grant; a special nephew, Corey Grant; a devoted caregiver, Jeanie Burton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, the Friendship church family and friends.
