Reynolds Scott was born and raised in Harlem, NY on October 12, 1950 to Stella Brown and George Scott Sr. Ronnie was the baby of the family, three siblings: Nathaniel Holmes, George Scott Jr. and Gloria Scott, whom all preceded him in death. He attended the NYC public school system and later obtained his GED. On April 12,1985, He married Valerie Skeete in Brooklyn, NY and gained a daughter, Elena Rosado-Scott. Through Ronnie’s life he had many custodial and construction jobs. His longest positions was working as a Sexton for Mt. Zion Lutheran church for 20 years, as well as, 370 Convent Ave, 458 West 146th Street and 402 West 158rd Street for over 15 years. He was a loyal hard working employee to these properties and tenants. His work was everything to him and making sure his tenants were happy and comfortable was his goal! Ron was very talented and could have been a master builder. He could literally look at something and build it from memory or if something needed to be assembled he didn't need blueprints. He had various hobbies including playing dominoes, watching wrestling and of course his music. He loved his music so much when he would DJ a party or listening for his own pleasure, everyone knew it was going to be an all-night event. With microphone in hand, he would give shout outs too his tenants or people from the neighborhood. In his words "Rockin Ron til the break of dawn” and sometime it actually went until dawn!!! On the morning of January 14, 2022 Reynolds was called home after battling a long illness. Even through his illness he didn’t want people to worry about him and continued to work his three buildings until he no longer could. He leaves behind his wife, Valerie Scott; daugther Elena Rosado-Scott; mother-in-law Evelyn Skeete; sister-in-law Mosella Holmes; and host of nieces, nephews and friends all of whom he loved dearly.
