Mr. Foggie was the son of the late West Cross and Essie Mae Foggie. He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann Foggie.
Freddie honorably served in the United States Army. Mr. Foggie was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a long-time employee of Spartanburg Steel and Westinghouse Air Brake Co.
Mr. Foggie was the Worshipful Master of St. John Lodge #175. He was also a Lowery Temple #10 of the Shriners Club.
He was a member of Harvest House Ministries in Moore, SC under the leadership of Bishop Jimmy Waddell.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his wife, Elizabeth Ann Foggie; his four children, Freda (Raymond) Smith of Spartanburg, S.C., Freddie Lee Foggie, Jr. of Lawrenceville, IL, Terressa (Leroin) Gaines of Inman, S.C., Takeeda Pullen of Spartanburg, S.C.; one step-daughter, Candis Moss of Spartanburg, S.C.; brother, Eugene Foggie of Spartanburg, S.C.; sister, Cheryl Tanner of Spartanburg, S.C.; one adoptive son, Leon "Peter Boozer" Miller; aunt, Lizzie McDavid of Greenville, S.C.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews , great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Foggie was preceded in death by: his parents, West Cross and Essie Mae Foggie; grandmother, Irene Turner; sister, Mary Louise Foggie; sister-in-law, Julia Foggie; uncles Charles Turner and Sir Lee McDavid; step-daughter Virgina Ann Benson.
Services will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will follow in the Westwood Cemetery, Moore, SC.
The family will receive friends and hour prior to the service at the chapel.
