In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by one brother, Jim D. Tinsley, Jr.
James was a member of Only Way Church of Christ, Eden, NC. He was employed at Hooker Furniture Company for a number of years. James was a 1984 graduate of Laurel Park High School.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his mother Hariet Giles Tinsley of Axton, VA; three sisters, Sheena (Curtis) Robertson and Debbie Tinsley both of Axton, VA, and Paula Tinsley of Martinsville, VA; two brothers, Wesley (Gloria) Tinsley, Sr. of Axton, VA and Shaun (Nicole) Tinsley of Martinsville, VA; and a host of uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 12 noon at the Giles family cemetery, Mitchell Road, Axton, VA with Dr. James R. Perkins, Eulogist. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hour of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required.
