Leroy "Poggie" Murrell,75, of 181 Trent Acres Dr., Pollocksville died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Viewing hours are 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 11:00 AM, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Oakey Grove M. B. Church 1002 Ten Mile Fork Rd., Trenton, NC. The interment will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Jerkins Murrell of the home; two sons, Eric G. Murrell, Maryland and Andre L. Murrell, Seattle, WA; one brother, Edward "Fuzzy" Murrell; one sister, Patricia Ann Haywood, New Bern; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
