North Augusta, SC-Mr. Roosevelt Mims, 56, entered into rest Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, North Augusta, SC. *Viewing will be at the service.

He was born in Augusta, Georgia, to the late J.C. "A.J." Mims and Juanita Mims.

He graduated from The Academy of Richmond County, Class of 1984.

Survivors include: one son, Tavares Harmon of Athens, GA; daughter-in-law Veronica Harmon; three grandchildren, Tavares Harmon, Jr., Eugene Rhodes, and Deshawn Rhodes; mother, Juanita Mims of Augusta, GA; four brothers, Albert Mims of Augusta, GA, Thomas Mims of North Augusta, SC, Alvin Jefferson of Aiken, SC, and Darryl (Olivia) Mims of Martinez, GA; two sisters, Barbara Jim Davis) Lofton of San Diego, CA, and Alyssa Yarborough of Joanna, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
