Ms. Ruby Stringfellow Gordon, 92, of 300 Lakewood Road, Gastonia, N.C. was born to the late Thorton Stringfellow and Amanda Starr on April 14,1929 in Gastonia, N.C. She departed this earthly life Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was married to the late Rev. Herman Gordon.

She attended Gaston County Schools and was employed by Homelite in Gastonia working in shop and assembly for 20 years. she was a long time member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Gastonia. There she served as secretary of Sunday school, usher board, hymn Choir and the one she held close to her heart, the Mt. Pisgah Chorus where she served as president and manager.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by Charlie Stringfellow, Wilma Stringfellow, Dorothy Stringfellow, Otis Stringfellow, Robert Stringfellow and Jessie Stringfellow.

She leaves loving and cherished memories to her beloved nieces: Kay Hudson and Brenda Tate (Hunter) of Gastonia, N.C. Grandchildren; Travis Tate (Traci) of Gastonia, NC. Alisha Hudson of Gastonia, NC. Ratisha Nash (Jonathan) of Greenville, SC. "Great" Grandchildren; Xavior Bazzle, Candran Hudson of Gastonia, NC. Trinity, Jeremiah and Destiny Nash of Greenville, SC. Special cousin; Betty Stringfellow Montgomery and Lossie Ashe. Special friend: Velora Cooke of Gastonia, NC and other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Saturday; February 12, 2022 at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. with thirty minute visitation.
