Jessie “Blue Boy” Davis Hickman, 82, of Havelock, NC died Friday, February 11, 2022 at his residence.

Viewing hours are 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Green Chapel M. B. Church. The interrment will follow in the Original Hickman Cemetery.

Masks required and social distancing observed.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Willoughby Hickman of the home; sons, Jesse D. Hickman, Jr. Havelock, NC and Tyrone Hooks Wake Forest, NC, Cerruti Hooks, Upper Marlboro, MD, Douglas Hooks, Durham, NC Donald Hooks, Raleigh, NC; daughters, Ileana Hickman-Neilson, Jacksonville, NC Patrina Cantlow- Washington; five sisters; Sylvia Gaskins, New Bern, NC, Gladys Werts, Richmond, VA, Dorothy Kornegay, New Bern, NC , Mary Jackson, Raleigh, NC, Brenda Hickman, New Bern; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
