In addition to his parents, Cleopas was preceded in death by three brothers, John Giles, Howard Giles, and O.L. Giles.
Cleopas was a logger for many years.
Those left to cherish his memory include: one son, Quintin Giles of Martinsville, VA; three daughters, Sharon (Andre) Bassett, Patricia Giles, and Carmencita Giles all of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, LaToya Giles of Raleigh, NC, and Amber Gravely of Atlanta, GA; great-grandson, Michael Q. Scales of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Culas (Pattie) Giles of Martinsville, VA; five sisters, Alice “Miss Sally” Giles and Mary Maxine Davis both of Axton, VA, Frettia (Donald) Draper and Merita (Earnest) Wilson both of Martinsville, VA, and Ernestine “Inky” (Jerry) Wilson of Brown Summit, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Carver Memorial Gardens with Elder Percy Wilson, Eulogist. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required.
