Chuckie Jevon Pendleton

02/16/1978 - 02/15/2022

Chuckie Jevon Pendleton was born on February 16, 1978 in Valdosta, GA at South Georgia Medical Center to the late Charlie Pendleton Jr. and Evelyn Pendleton. Chuckie was the youngest child of four and was in his mother’s words, “A sweet baby, a sweet child, and a sweet man.”

Chuckie was raised in the faith of Jehovah Witness, and believed firmly in Jehovah God.

After twelve years of schooling, Chuckie entered the work force. He was known to be a hard-working young man. He became skillful at different trades, such as bricklaying, construction work, and operating heavy machinery. Chuckie enjoyed roofing most of all and was employed at Hard Top Roofing Company, at the time of his passing.

To all who knew him, Chuckie was one of a kind. He loved his family and friends to the fullest and tried to be respectful and kind to everyone. He loved to joke around and have a good time, but he could also be serious and straightforward. Chuckie hated to see anyone struggle. If he saw someone having a bad day, he could always make them laugh or put a smile on their face. He wasn’t a flashy person. He didn’t want to be rich. He just wanted to live comfortable and to be happy. His favorite past time was going fishing with his nephew, listening to rap music in his truck, and spending quality time with his Lady and their Baby Girl.

For forty-three years, Chuckie blessed the world with his presence. He was a son, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a father, a lover, a friend, an employee, and at times just a kindhearted stranger on the street. Chuckie was a good man.

On February 15, 2022, the day before his forty-fourth birthday, Chuckie Pendleton suffered an asthma attack and passed away at South Georgia Medical Center Emergency Room – Lanier Campus (Lakeland, GA).

‘With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “Look the tent of God is with mankind and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelations 21:3-4

Chuckie is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Pendleton, Jr.; grandfather, Charlie Pendleton, Sr.; grandmothers, Bertha Mae Pendleton and Dorothy Franklin Berrian; sister, Cathy Charlene Pendleton; brother, Charles Devon Pendleton.

Chuckie leaves to cherish his memory to his partner, Valerie Skinner and family, along with her daughter, Leela Nicole Pendleton, daughters, Makayla Pendleton, Sunshyne Caroline Pendleton, Sincere Pendleton and Miyah Pendleton; mother, Evelyn Pendleton; one sister, Regina Pendleton; one sister- in-law, Shawanda Pendleton; nephews, Devin Colbert, Jerrell Copeland and Khalil Davis; grand-nephew, Devin Colbert, Jr.; nieces, Kaycie Davis and Charlize Pendleton; five uncles, Terry Berrian, George Franklin, Edward L.
