Aaron Earl Johnson, widower of Donna Johnson, was born October 17, 1951, to the union of Vermont Johnson, Sr. and Ida Mae Johnson in Danville, Kentucky. God called him from labor to reward on February 16, 2022. Aaron was affectionately known by all that knew and loved him as “AJ ".

He was preceded in death his parents, Vermont Johnson, Sr and Ida Mae Johnson, brothers, James Howard Johnson and Charles Richard Johnson.

He accepted Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Danville at a young age. AJ was educated in the Danville School System attending Bate School and Danville High School. Throughout his life his most passionate love was his family, he loved them dearly and always supported all their endeavors. He had a strong work ethics to always support his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Aaron Johnson, Jr., J Dwan Smith, Cory Johnson, Asia Linton and LaBryant Thompson; seven grandchildren: five siblings, Vermont Johnson, Jr., Wilbur (Hazel) Johnson, Jerome Johnson, Brenda Johnson (Rev. Bishop) Carter and Gregory Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Pattie Sue Johnson and Ella Johnson; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr.Aj and Dad had been friends 40+ yrs so he will truly be missed indeed! We will miss him sitting out having fun on the porch during the warm beautiful days.. all the laughter, music and cutting up with his friends. Aaron called me last week. I kept saying I need to return his call and of course distractions and memory get in the way. I'm sad I never returned his call. We met in high school and became fond of each other but went separate ways. Rest peacefully my dear friend. You are now joined again with Donna.

Aaron was a nice guy and I remember when he met his late wife Donna. We were all friends hanging out and having a good time back in the day's. Rest easy my friend rest easy. He was always clean to the bone.v
