Obituary For John Henry Smith

John Henry Smith, Sr. 64, was born September 11, 1957 in Blytheville, Arkansas the son of J.P. and Mary Rogers Smith. John attended Blytheville High School and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He loved fishing, listening to music, barbequing. On Saturday, February 19, 2022, John entered into the presence of Jesus at his home surrounded by those he loved and those that loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents J.P and Mary Smith, and a sister Shirley Smith Mouton. John leaves to forever cherish the memories his beloved and devoted wife Minnie Smith of the home, two sons, John H. Smith, Jr.(NaKayla Smith) and Jonathan Smith both of Blytheville, Arkansas; three daughters, Tracy Hampton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Shakitta Smith of Irving, Texas; Heather Smith also of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren Tyranee Smith, JaKyra Smith, Paris Smith, Zyaire Smith, Robert Lewis, Jr., Adrian Williams, Austin Garrison, Chad Garrison, and Paige Gordon, a bonus grandson Zailan Smith, two great grandchildren Treasure Lewis and Aunisty Lewis; four brothers Pastor M.L. (Ellen) Smith, Sylvester (Diane) Smith all of Gosnell, Arkansas; Tommy Lee (Cora) Smith and J.P. Smith, Jr both of Blytheville, Arkansas; three sisters, Dorothy Junearick, Rose (Frederick) Wilson, and Angelia (Arthur) Pointer all of Blytheville, Arkansas; a brother-in-law, Charles Mouton of Blytheville, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousin and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 920 South Lake Street, Blytheville, Arkansas where Reverend Bobby Patterson is the pastor. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Prince of Peace Church, 501 East McHaney, Blytheville, Arkansas. Pastor Tim Rogers will deliver the eulogy with interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
