Leroy joined the Springhill Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until he decided to venture out and joined Clark Grove Baptist Church under watch care. He later united with the New Bethlehem Baptist church becoming the Assistant Pastor.
He was educated in Greene County Public Schools. He was employed with Chipman-Union for a few years then he was employed by Central Soya of Athens, later working at Greeson Homes of Athens, Ga. He loved building so later in life, he decided to go in business for himself called Heath Remodeling. During his first marriage, he was blessed with a son, Leroy Heath, Jr.
On December 4, 2016, Leroy married Minnie Dale. Leroy loved to fish and work on and remodel houses. He also loved to Preach the Gospel and feed the flock. He could quote Bible scriptures like the back of his hand. He liked to mentor others and help to uplift the downhearted.
On February 25, an angel came down and took him home. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife Minnie D.
