Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. EST, Sunday, March 6, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Dawson, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
Eunice Robinson was born August 20, 1928 to David Jelks, Sr. and Lena Mae Jelks in Hurtsboro, Alabama. Eunice attended the public schools of Russell County, Alabama. After completing high school, she moved to Phenix City, Alabama. She retired from Swift Spinning Mill after 25 years of service. She was also a loyal employee of Taylor Funeral Home for over 10 years.
Eunice was united in holy matrimony to the late Ralph Robinson, Jr. and to that union, 3 children were born one son and two daughters. She confessed her belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Hatchechubbee, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Emma Robinson Knight; four brothers, Arthur Lee Jelks, Sr., David Jelks, Jr., William Jelks, Sr. and John Henry Jelks; two sisters, Bobbie Lena Austin and Sarah Bass.
Precious memories of her life will be cherished by her son, Preston (Rhonda) Robinson, Sr. of Phenix City, Alabama; daughter, Eunice Robinson Baker of Phenix City, Alabama; three sisters, Emma Mae Sims, Alfreda Knight and Delores Reese; six grandchildren, Jacqueline Knight, Willie L. “Darine” Knight, LaPandria “Shanell” Baker, Tamekia (David) Jones, Shakenya Robinson and Preston (Von) Robinson, Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Jessica Knight, Zachary Knight, Logan Knight, Maddison Jones, Morgyn Jones, Maddox Jones and Kaden Robinson; 2 great-great grandchildren, Lawrence Jaxson Knight and Harlow Else’ Knight.
She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory. And last but not least, a devoted family friend, Willie D. Webb of Columbus, Georgia.
