Obituary For Mr. Harrell Edwards

Mr. Harrell W. Edwards, 65, of Panama City, gained his heavenly wings on February 25, 2022 in Panama City. Harrell was born to Mattie Taylor and the late Willie Jackson on May 6, 1951 in Hernandez County, Brooksville, Florida.

He was reared in a Christian home and accepted Christ into his life at an early age. Harrell was educated in the public schools of Bay County, graduating from Rutherford High in 1970. He furthered his education at Gulf Coast Community College on a basketball scholarship. Upon completing college, he moved to Texas and was the owner of his own paint company.

On Friday, February 25, 2022, he passed at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. In addition to his father, Willie, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Benny Taylor; and two sisters, Mary Charles Williams and Ephelia Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Nicole Edwards; one grandson, Duke Edwards; devoted mother, Mattie Taylor; one brother, Eddie (Carla) Taylor all of Panama City, Florida; two sisters, Linda Oliver of Atlanta, Georgia and Dorothy Jackson of Orlando, Florida; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be Fri., Mar.4th at Battle Mortuary from 4-7p.m.

A Solemn Farewell will be Sat., Mar. 5th at 2p.m. at New Judson Baptist Church. Burial to follow in the Hillside Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Battle Mortuary of Panama City.
