A LIFE WELL LIVED During his 95 years, Bud played many roles-Son, big brother, husband, father, grandfather, student, fraternity brother, US Army Air Force (WW2) veteran, business executive, active retiree, prostate cancer survivor, Fantasy Football Commissioner, Fairfield Harbour Wildlife Committee member, Golden Boys golfer and ALWAYS an Engineer.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, Bud was the first of seven children born to Everett J. and Myrtle Bellinger Fuller. He was Named for his father and uncle Eddie. The family grew in Westfield, MA, until father's work took them to Monterey, CA. Bud loved his time in Monterey, where he fist attended high school, and was involved with the sea scouts. This is where he had his first taste of sailing. He moved to Berkeley, CA where he finished high school and enrolled at U. C. Berkeley. He was a proud member of Sigma Phi Fraternity. World War 2 interrupted his college and he joined the Army Air Force. The war was winding down and he was able to return to college. He retired as Captain from the Air Force Reserves. He met his first wife and mother of his children, Joan Anderson at Berkeley. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering 1948 and had a 37 year career with American Can Company. Bud and second wife, Kathleen Porter, retired in 2004 to North Carolina. They quickly got involved in many of the activities in New Bern and Fairfield Harbour. Bud was one of the founding members of the Harbour Night Club, served on the wildlife Committee. He enjoyed golf with Branigan's Bunch, the Golden Boys and Twilight golf with couples. He survived a bout with prostate cancer and worked with the survivors group for while until his failing eyesight limited involvement.

What more can I say? We will miss him terribly. He is our "Buddy Budco." We will think of him whenever we get a new appliance and sit down to "READ THE MANUAL', when we look up his recipe for "Uncle Bud's Cosmos", when we recall his birthday "Bud Game"; or when we hear a Patsy Cline song. And a thousand other times. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Fuller of the home; three sons, Jonathan Everett Fuller of Washoe Valley, NV, William Edward Fuller, Oakland, CA, Peter Anderson Fuller of Springfield, MA; daughter, Wendy Elizabeth Fuller of New Bern, NC; two brothers, David Fuller (Joanne) of Chico, CA, Richard Fuller of Auburn, CA; and sister, Diane Juncosa of Williamsburg, VA; sister-in-law, Myra Fuller of California.
