Robert Lee Washington, Sr., was born on April 7, 1958, in Quitman, Georgia. He was educated in the Brooks County School System. He worked with Brooks Service Center.

Robert was full of life and the life of the party anywhere he went.

He nicknamed his great-nieces and nephews anytime he could. When Robert’s brother, Willie Roy Hollis, departed from this earth, Robert helped to raise his grandchildren and, for that, we will forever be grateful for Robert’s love, protection, care, and presence.

Robert departed from this earth on February 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Gail Washington; mother, Betty Mae Hollis; brothers, John Lee Hollis, Willie Roy Hollis, Tommy Lee Hollis, Charles Hollis, and Anthony Lockett; sisters, Joan Hollis and Gloria Dean; and his great-nephew, Chance Hollis.

Robert leaves behind: his son, Robert Lee Washington, Jr.; sisters, Irene Cason, Bertha Lee Washington, and Clara (Greg) Cobb; brothers, James Hollis, Charles Hollis, and James Simmons; his sister-in-law, Shirley Bartee Hollis; his friend, Ethan Meeks; and a host of family and friends.
