MRS. MYRTLE CORNELIA BOOKER HAYES – AGE 84, - Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was born on June 4, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Thomas Booker and Myrtle Robinson. She was preceded by her husband, Bartholomew Hayes, Sr., sons, Nathaniel Butler, Jesse Hayes, and granddaughter, Zoey Jackson. She was a member of Christ Hope Baptist Church in Chattanooga.

Survivors are her loving children, Tyrone Butler, Bartholomew Hayes, Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Marco Hayes of Tampa, Florida, Marcus Hayes of Oakland, California; daughters, Clareatte Hayes, Terrie (Rodney) Cartwright of Chattanooga; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; special cousin, Walter Jones; a host of other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 3777 Wilcox Blvd., Chattanooga, Tennesseee 37411 with Rev. Calvin White, Eulogist, and Pastor Wayne Johnson, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
