Graveside service for Gregory Lockhart, 37, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Mount Traveler Missionary Baptist Church, 1229 South Dawson Avenue, Waverly, Alabama 36879, Reverend Benjamin Datiri, Pastor and Brother Morris Lockhart will officiate.

Mr. Lockhart, who passed away, Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Madison Hospital in Madison, AL, was born March 8, 1984 in Lee County, Alabama.

There will be no public viewing.

He leaves to cherish his memory: adoptive mother, Ocie Mae Jefferson of Opelika, AL; mother, Wanda Jean (Jerry) Johnson of Dubach, LA; father, Lester Carlisle of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Tewanda Lockhart (Raphael Woods) of Montgomery, AL and Caroline Moore of Auburn, AL; two brothers, Ora (April) Lockhart and Walter (Wanda) Moore both of Opelika, AL; devoted friend, Logan Garrison of Lester, AL; one aunt, Jacqueline Maddox (David Montgomery) of Auburn, AL; three uncles, Kennedy Heard (Glenda) of Opelika, AL, Orlando Maddox of Oklahoma City, OK and Christopher Maddox (Nedra Bledsoe) of Loachapoka, AL; one great-uncle, Otis Lockhart of Opelika, AL; one great-aunt, Edith Lockhart of Opelika, AL; four nephews, Amir Woods of Montgomery, AL, Richard Moore, Eddie (Tierra) Cooks both of Auburn, AL and Demond Moore of Opelika, AL; one niece, Shambria Moore of Greer, SC; a host of cousins and friends.
