After DuBois graduated from Hermitage High School in 1988, he went on to study at Howard University in Washington, DC. He lived and worked in Washington, DC for several years before relocating to Manhattan, New York, where he worked in the real estate industry. Throughout his career, DuBois was able to travel the world extensively, including memorable visits to China, Japan, Portugal, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Hawaii, to name a few. He even ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.
