Helen attended T.W. Andrews High School and was employed at Goodwill Industries. She was known for her “smile, whenever you saw her, she always had a smile on her face. She was outgoing and enjoyed life. In her leisure, she enjoyed watching Carolina Tarheel Basketball games and spending quality time with her family. We know that Helen is at peace and has entered her eternal rest. Her name and memories have been etched into many lives. She fought the good fight of faith and will truly be missed.
In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jacqueline Bobbitt and three brothers, Tyrone Alston, Kenneth Ray Lyon and Dock “Joe Joe” Lyon, Jr.
Helen leaves a legacy to be proud of; two sons, Micheal Alston (Brittany) and Anthony Alston both of High Point, NC; one daughter, Courtney Alston of High Point, NC; four grandchildren, Jordan, SemaJ, MaKayla and Greyson all of High Point, NC; one brother, Leon Alston (Lendia) of High Point, NC; three sisters, her twin, Thelma Alston of High Point, NC; Essie Lyons, Nadine Staton (Tommy) and Jackie Lee all of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister-in-law, Patricia Alston of Whitaker, NC and host of nieces, nephew, cousin, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at Chosen Generation Outreach Deliverance Center. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
