Obituary For Joyce "Sharod" Dudley

Mrs. Joyce “Sharod” Dudley, of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at her residence in Marianna, Florida.

She was a member of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Marianna, Florida.

Mrs. Dudley’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 12:00 Noon from the sanctuary of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2891 Orange Street in Marianna, Florida, with Reverend James Sikes, Minister Hardy Hill III, Reverend Mark Dudley and Pastor Ronald D. Mizer, officiating.

Mrs. Dudley will lie in state from 11:00 A. M. until time for the service.

Interment will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 1:00 P. M. to 6:00 P. M. from the chapel of Vann Funeral Home.

Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidance will be followed for social distancing and wearing of masks for everyone’s safety during the viewing and the funeral service.

Ms. Dudley leaves to celebrate a life of lasting love and memories, a loving and devoted family:

Two Sons: Granville (Leeshanta) Harvey, Sr. and Paris Harvey both of Marianna, Florida

And a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

To The Family Of Joyce Sharod Dudley: It is with deepest sorrow and sympathy to have learned Sharod had passed on to Glory. May God wipe away your tears and give you the strength and comfort, as needed, from day to day. I am going to miss my dear and beloved friend. Our friendship began in childhood and carried into and throughout adulthood. I will miss our long phone calls that were fill with laughter and recalling our childhood good times we had being Long, Black and White (our last names).
