MR. JOHN CLIFFORD BUCHANAN- Age 67, - Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022. He was born on July 30, 1954 to the late Robert Buchanan, Jr. and Eunice Washington Buchanan. He was retired from Southern Chapman and a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. He was preceded by his brother, Henry Buchanan and one sister, Shirley Houston, one son, Gray DeWayne Thompson.

Survivors are his loving and devoted wife of thirty-nine years, Teresa N. Buchanan; daughters, Glorica (Frederick Tucker) Buchanan, Detrica Buchanan; son, Lee Anthony (Lorri) Buchanan; three sisters, Alma Jean (Ike, Jr.) Long, Georgia Smiley, and Kathy (Daryl) Clark; brothers, Robert D. (Wanda) Buchanan, Danny (Sykenya) Buchanan, Philip (Florene) Buchanan; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Carolyn) Thompson, Michael (Elzia Johnson) Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 12:00 noon at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 756 Dewberry Road, Rossville, Georgia 30741 with Pastor Andre’ Sharpe as Eulogist. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
