Mozell Morman “Moe” was born in Union County, South Carolina on October 19, 1942 to the late Reverend Benny Morman, and his loving wife, Mary Morman. Her siblings are James Kershaw, and the late Jenny Glenn. Mozell was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She was formerly employed at Butt Knitting Mills and Hearst Fiber. Mozell attended Macedonia Missionary Church, Spartanburg, SC where she was a faithful tither who loved the pastor’s word. Mozell was the cherished matriarch of a close loving family; she was beautiful inside and out. She was a woman of character, guided by her faith, work ethic, and gentle nature. That inner strength, humility, and intellect served Mozell well as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as in her long working career.

“The Moe” was both witty and opinionated. As an avid news watcher, she enjoyed debating politics and global issues. She absolutely loved her bingo, for which her children fondly referred to her as “BingoMoe”. She also loved playing UNO and trash talking during spades. Her favorite shows were, Deal or No Deal, The Price is Right, and Leverage. Nothing brought Moe more joy than the company of her family and watching the little people growing around her, whom she smothered with love.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, five children, Phillis Hill, Renee Byrd, Vickie Vanessa Morman-Gordon, James LaVette Morman, (wife Deborah Dreher Morman) and Tonya Evonne Glenn. Mozell was wed to the late Earnell Crocker, then divorced, but continued loving the children from that blended union, Barbara Crocker, Levon Byrd, Michael Crocker,(Deceased); Linda Kaye Crocker, (Deceased); Cinda Kaye Mungin,(Deceased) along with her Godson, Eric Jones, Sr., and her late pet poodle, Quincy whom she loved so dearly. Along the way, she developed special relationship with Elaine Williams who she considered her ‘adopted daughter’, and cousin and close friend Polly Booker who also acted as her caretaker during her many health crisis.
