Obituary For Eddie Mae Marshall

The late Mrs. Eddie Mae Marshall was called home on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Stone Mountain, GA.

Mrs. Eddie Mae Marshall was born July 5, 1942, to the late Jack Blankumsee Sr. and Eddie Bell Blankumsee in Quitman, GA. She was the seventh child of thirteen children; eight preceded her in death. Eddie Mae Marshall is survived by four siblings: Eugene Blankumsee, Mildred Carter, Odessa Blankumsee, and Arleen Golden.

At an early age, she was added to the Church of Christ. During her childhood and while living in Quitman, she was a member of the Laurel Street Church of Christ. Preceding her death, Sis. Marshall was a member at the Church of Christ at Bouldercrest in Atlanta, GA.

She attended school in Brooks County, GA. While attending school she performed as a majorette.

She loved going to church, gardening, dancing and spending time with family. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her loved ones, fishing, crocheting, and sewing during her leisure.

She was a widow to the late Roosevelt Marshall. To this union 6 children were born. She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved children, Tanita (Byron) Wesson of Dallas, TX, Jerald Marshall Sr of Cincinnati, OH, Michelle Brown of Atlanta, GA, Derrick Marshall of Stone Mountain, GA, Tina Marshall of Quitman, GA, and Walter Marshall of Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren, Byron II, Roylins, Jasmine, Jerald Jr., Jena, Marcus II, Asia, Martesia, Lisa, Daniel, Alencia, Allison, Walter Jr., and Alyssa; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a special godson, Bobby Christian.

Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Eddie Mae Marshall will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM – Shumate Street Church of Christ, Bro. Clay Lee Phillips, Eulogist.

Internment: Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Quitman, Georgia.

Family Visitation: 6:00 -7:00 PM, Friday, March 18, 2022 in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel
