Woods, Mrs. Carrie, A resident of College Park, Ga formerly of Lowndes County, AL departed this life on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her residence peacefully in her sleep. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1:00PM from Shiloh Baptist Church, Gordonville, AL, Pastor Bill Lamar, officiating. Mrs. Woods will lie in state on Friday from 1-8PM at Phillips-Riley Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9-11AM at Phillips-Riley Funeral Home.

Carrie Pearl (Lawrence) Woods, 87, Carrie was born March 26, 1934 in Lowndes County, AL to Reese and Pearlie Mae Lawrence. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Woods, brother, Floyd Lawrence, 2 sisters, Clara Bell (Dee) and Rose Zell Lawrence, and 2 children: Luther Raymond and Trina Maria Woods. She leaves behind a host of family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
