Obituary For Larry Washington

Mr. Larry Washington, Tennille, GA was born to the parentage of the late Roy Peeples and Marie Washington. He made his transition from labor to reward on March 22, 2022 at an Augusta Hospital. Graveside Services will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at New Fleming Baptist Church Cemetery, Bartow, GA with mask and social distancing. Public viewing will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 3:00 - 6:00. Mr. Washington was a native of Jefferson County and lived in Washington County for many years. Larry was a 1976 graduate of Louisville High School. He was employed at Kamin Mine Industries. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rose Lee Morgan, who raised Larry and gave him all of the love that any child could needed; one son, Sherman Brown; siblings: Corley Washington, Leroy Battie and Annie Dupree. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife: Sheila Johnson Washington; his children: Larry (Carla) Washington, Tanya (Gregory) Culpepper, Derrick Taylor and Gregory Johnson; fourteen grandchildren; sister: Catherine Lewis, Rose (Freddie) Thomas, Elizabeth (Benjamin) Thompson, Barbara Ann Battie, Brenda Jackson, Linda Pearson, Carolyn Bostic, Sandra (Luther) Stokes, Janice Peeples and Mattie Brown; his brothers, Eddie (Hilda) Morgan, Benjamin (Dolly) Wicker, Melvin (LaVernae) Peeples, Roy Peeples, Eugene (Twilar) Peeples and Larry Peeples; Mother-in-law: Mattie Mae Johnson; stepmother: Betty Peeples; sisters-in-law, Rochelle Fleming, Joann Johnson, Diane Johnson, Christine Johnson, Adria Basley, Lyda Battie, Debra Jackson, LaVonne (Adrian) Culbreath; brothers-in-law: Tony Johnson, Michael Johnson, Calvin Jackson, Danny (Sharon) Jackson and Pastor Leland (Denise) Johnson ; a devoted friend, Kenneth Reeves; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
