I personally have known George since the early 80s working in CTE areas and most of all within our professional organizations. We will miss his humor and wisdom greatly, and will always be honored that we know George. Aaron Clark and the Technology Education faculty at NC State University

I had the honor and privilege of working with George for many years in my role as a Grants administrator of the Carl Perkins Career and Technical Education Act. I first worked with George in his role as an administrator of the Perkins program and later when he ascended to the role of State CTE director. I was working with him on some Perkins related issues into late January of this year even after he retired. I had hoped to get together with George when he came to visit his daughter in Maryland sometime in the near future. I am so saddened by this news and I am praying for George and his family. I am thankful for the love and light of (Deacon) George Willcox. It warmed my heart to read such lovely memories from family, friends, and loved ones. George was so dedicated to everything that he put his head, hands, and heart to, and he did it all with a spirit of excellence, such a Daniel spirit! I cannot thank him enough for his "yes" when asked to represent the State of Virginia's CTE/WIOA program(s) for our agency. I truly wish that I'd been as blessed to spend more time with him on a personal, spiritual level, but all of his Christ-like attributes were always on display. May his legacy of excellence continue on as a tribute to him. Our deep condolences to the families and friends that love him most and dearest. Collectively, ED/OCTAE/DATE/PAAB--Allison Hill and colleagues.

God bless, Mark Burnette, Superintendent, Carroll County Public Schools

To Angela and the rest of the Willcox Family, I was deeply saddened to hear about the transitioning of your beloved Deacon Willcox (George). George loved his church, Quioccasin Baptist Church, where he wore many hats: deacon, church treasurer, member of the budget, counting and scholarship Committees, technical guru, etc. I will miss the many spirited debates on budget and finance issues. His church family will deeply miss him. Rest in peace, my dear brother. Ralph M. Davis
