Mr. Michael Anthony Lisenby

In accordance with the will of our Heavenly Father, Michael Anthony Lisenby, son of the late Jerry Lisenby and Betty Polk Jones, was born on February 9, 1965 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. He departed this life on March 31, 2022.

He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Long Pine Baptist Church of Wadesboro, NC and later joined Freedom House Church - Central Campus of Charlotte, NC, as a faithful member.

Work, School, Hobbies •He was a graduate of Independence High School where he received his diploma in 1983. •Worked at Southeastern Trucking Co., Charlotte, NC 1983 •Enlisted in the US Armed Forces 1985, Separation date 1988 •Enlisted in the US Army Reserves 1988-1993 •Graduated Black World Barber College 1989 •Worked at Grier Heights Barber Shop •Worked at Hendrick Honda of Charlotte where he was one of top Sales Consultant for 20 years until his death. •Favorite pastimes: enjoyed watching the NC Tarheel basketball, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, and spending time with his Family and Friends

He was preceded in death by his Father: Jerry Lisenby, his Grandfathers: Alonzo Myers Polk and Levi Lisenby; Grandmothers: Aggie Lee Simon Polk and Catherine Lisenby; Great Grandparents: Earl and Laney Lisenby; Brother: Earl Cornell Lisenby; and Sister: Jerri Ann Jones.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: mother and step-father, Betty Polk Jones and James R. Jones of Charlotte, NC; three daughters and four sons: Britne of Aurora, CO, Davin (Sarah) of Rosamond, CA, Rayana of Chicago, IL, Michael, Jayden, Nicholas, and London, all of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren; one sister: Betty Denise Davis (Clarence) of Concord, NC; four brothers: George Hinson of Clinton, SC, Jerry Lee Lisenby, Jr. (Beverly), Shawn Lisenby, Jamie Jones (Tina) all of Charlotte, NC; very special friend, Jennice Dion; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, April 9, 2022, 1:00pm, West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Church Cemetery.

The Family will greet family and friends on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 12:30-1:00pm at West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

The public viewing will be on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3-6pm at Smith's Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
