Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Friday, April 8, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. John Cofield, officiating. Interment will follow in Uchee Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Seale, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Mrs. Carrie P. Harley-Chambers was born July 13, 1949 to the late Harry Harley and the late Mattie Harley.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Uchee Chapel A.M.E. Church where she served on the Usher Board, Missionary and choir.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Chambers, Sr. and six siblings.
She leaves with precious memories two daughters, Cassandra (Tyrone) Washington of Phenix City, AL and Arthurshica Jenell Chambers; one son, Arthur Chambers, Jr. of Ft. Mitchell, AL; six grandchildren, Alexandra Chambers, Quantavious Chambers, Maurissa Chambers, Ah'Lijah Chamber, Artavion Chambers and Tamiyah Harmon; three sisters, Mary (Alvin) Jones, Pauline Harley and Veronica Benn all of Columbus, GA; four brothers, Brinson Harley of Smiths Statiion, AL, Tommy Harley of Columbus, GA, Eddie (Amanda) Harley and Rundy (Mary) Harley; one extended sister, Mary Ford of Ft. Mithchell, AL; two god sons, Eric Shorter and Julius Morgan of Ft. MItchell, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.
