The family of Rev. Jacquin Benson has my sincere Condolences. I have known this family down through the years. Even them having the horse in the backyard. His sister, Doris, and I were classmates and the best of friends and even ended up being co-workers. I knew him as Doris's little brother. He indeed began preaching at an early age. I know you will be truly missed!!! I am praying that the Lord Jesus will be and supply everything you all need at this time of bereavement. Love Barbara Hoy Gentry (Windy)

I never have seen such Man who had a love after ❤️ God's own heart ❤️ . I meet one preaching in backyard of his childhood home on Knowles Street w/ overall on and mule as listener. As , I was visiting the Coleman's next door and one said , "come and see something " and we looked thru rusty wired fence as he hooped and yelled back w/ Bible in his hands preaching and reciting God's word in scriptures and praises.. I knew he was a preacher as a young boy and he carried out his mission from day forward as Godly man who walked w/ God and feared him daily.. I see you in little awhile in little awhile I should see you .. Man of God w/ Integrity that would be missed. 🙏 for Family w/ Heartfelt Condolences 💐 & 🙏. Donna Aldridge & Family

I met Mr. Benson when I was 16 years old. He was working in Kennett, MO as a probation and parole officer. I wasn't in trouble but I was in a situation that I had no business being in at 16. He spoke to me like a concerned father. I cried so hard because the words that he spoke I had never received before. Every time that he saw me afterward he would always say I can't wait to see you in Washington DC. I ran into him maybe 2 years ago in Blytheville. We spoke for a moment and he asked was I in Washington yet lol. Mr. Benson believed that I could do anything in the world that I wanted too. I will never forget Mr. Benson. His words from 30 years ago still resonate with me today. You all should be very proud to have had such a amazing husband, father, grandfather, kin altogether. A great man he was. Take your rest Mr. Benson. much love

Over the many years that spanned our friendship, Jacquin never ceased to amaze me with his approach to life. His calm demeanor in the face of adversity oftentimes humbled me. Our many talks that ended in laughter can never be taken away from me. And, now, I find myself somewhat lost and deeply saddened. But, I know that, someday, we'll laugh again. Ed Bilinski

Jacquin and I worked together at Probation and Parole for 15+ years until his retirement. He was a great man who taught me a lot about the job and we became good friends/my big brother. He truly loved "Thel" as he called her and his children and grandchildren especially. The both of us being a (PK), preachers kid he challenged me all the time about scriptures to test my knowledge sometimes I failed and he would let me know it and sometimes I passed, but never to his perfection of the scriptures. A true giant has fallen, one that I am proud to have called my brother. He will be greatly missed by so so many!! We are praying for Mrs Thelma Benson and the entire family. Lillie Blackman
