Jerry B. Wells, 64, of Eden, NC passed, Sunday, April 3, 2022. Public viewingg will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, Eden, NC with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Jerry Bryant Wells was born October 23, 1957. He departed this earthly life to join his late mother, Shirley Marie Galloway Wells and his father, Charlie Wells in heaven on April 3, 2022.

Jerry (Jed) was a resident of Rockingham County and was educated in the Guilford County School System. Jerry worked for the City of Eden. He was an active member of Mt. Calvary Church of Deliverance, along with his wife, Shelia Wells. Jerry loved everyone and especially his family. He loved reading and traveling.

Jerry was also preceded in death by his sister, Annie Marie “BooBoo” Wells (Greensboro, NC), stepdaughter, Kim Broadnax and three stepsons, Kenny Broadnax, Michael Broadnax and Wilbur Broadnax.

His life and memories will be cherished and remembered by: his wife; Shelia Wells of Eden, NC, daughter; Melissah Scales of Greensboro, NC, step daughter; Tonia Surratt, of Reidsville, NC, sons; Harold Broadnax of Eden, NC, George Broadnax (Angela) of Wentworth, NC, sisters; Mary “Cat” Hayes (Wilbert B.), Teresa Wilson (Paul) and Shawntell Wells all of Greensboro, NC, brothers; Charles Wells (Darlene), Haywood Wells, Shawn Wells (Ebony) all of Greensboro, NC, uncle; Franklin Odell Galloway of Greensboro, NC, grandchildren; Gregory and Deontae Burch both of Greensboro, NC, a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces; Lekisha Wilson, Tomeka Hayes, Jasmine Hairston, Shanise Wells, Denise Wells, Nyia Montgomery, Skylar Wells, Zoey Wells, a host of other nieces, nephews, Charles Rucker, Paul Wilson (Aisha), Bernard Hayes, Kamal Henderson, Kamare Wells, Sherrod Wells, other nephews; great nieces, Diya’ Hoskins, Zaiya’ Hoskins, a host of other great nieces, great nephews, Jabrill Eaton, Amarion Wilson, Latrell Wilson, Marques Wilson, Zi’on Smith-Hayes, Marquell Wilson. Other great nephews along with other family, and friends, who will miss him deeply.
