Kevin D. Moore, 54, of Madison,NC passed April 2, 2022. Public visitation will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison,NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at New Light Refuge Temple Way of the Cross Church, 2441 Bethany Road, Madison, NC. with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery, Madison, NC. Kevin Dewayne Moore, affectionately known as “Black” by his family and friends was born to the late Arthur Edward Moore, Sr. and Dorothy Lucille Carter Moore on March 30, 1968, in Rockingham County. He also had special parents, Joe Louis Martin, Sr. and Margaret C. Martin.

Kevin was a graduate of Stoneville High School and was employed by Geo Solutions, as a heavy equipment operator. He loved his job and working out of town. He loved to laugh, cut-up and have a good time. He loved being outdoors, pitching horseshoes, fishing and riding dirt bikes.

He was a member of New Light Refuge Temple of Madison, NC where he was a member of the Male Chorus.

He leaves behind: his loving wife; Brenda Lowe Moore of the home, where they had 34 years of marriage, two daughters that he raised as his own; Shonta A. Lewis and Shannon Lewis-Bowden. His sisters; Julia Ann Moore of Reidsville, NC, Tonya Renee Moore of Eden, NC, Edna L. Moore of Stoneville, NC, Valinda K. Moore Malloy (Gary, deceased) of Stoneville, NC, his brothers; Arthur E. Moore, Jr. of Reidsville, NC, Lonnie Kellam of Ohio. Grandchildren; twins; McKina and McKya Moyer, Kevontae Cummings, Lyric Lewis and Loyal Lewis-Bowden. A special mother-in-law; Dorothy P. Lowe of Madison, NC, sister-in-law, Doris Scales (Clyde) of Stokesdale, NC, brother-in-law; Danny Lowe (Lisa) of Danville, VA along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
