Obituary For Mr. Xavier Richardo Peterson

Mr. Xavier Richardo Peterson of Greenwood, Florida gained his heavenly wings on April 8th, 2022 in Grand Ridge, Florida. He was 29 years of age.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from the public schools of Jackson County, the Marianna High School Class of 2011. After graduation, he enlisted with the United States Marines and he served his country. Upon his reentry into civilian life, he became an independent truck driver.

He leaves treasured memories with one child, Kingston Xavier Peterson of Chesapeake, Virginia; his parents, Eddie and Kim Peterson of Greenwood, Florida; two brothers, Moses and Elijah Peterson both of Greenwood, Florida; his biological mother, Ingram Norwood of Tupelo, Mississippi; uncle, Willie (Priscilla) Peterson of San Antonio, Texas; aunts, Mildred Calhoun and Viccie Borders both of Greenwood, Florida; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Solemn Farewell will be held at Second West Baptist Association Church, Rev. Riley J. Henderson, Moderator and Rev. Dr. David A. Cobb, Rev. Wallace Godwin, Rev. Dr. David Green, Minister Kenneth Baker and Rev. Freddie Roulhac officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.

Xavier Peterson served in the Marianna Composite squadron of Civil Air Patrol. He served as a flight sergeant to Bravo Flight and then served with in leadership. He was someone we all wanted to serve with due to his leadership attributes, discipline and how he carried himself, flawlessly. My condolences to all his family and friends.
