Obituary For Rickey Walden, Sr

Mr. Rickey Walden, Sr. 67, 34 W. Smith Street, Wadley, GA departed this life Friday, April 8, 2022 at an Augusta Hospital. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Brinson Hill Baptist Church cemetery with mask and social distancing. Public viewing will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Rickey was born on March 22, 1955, in Wadley, Georgia the fifth of seven children, born to Lillie Walden Clark. Rickey met his wife-to-be, Earnestine Swint in 1980 and united in Holy Matrimony on June 21, 1985. He was a member of Brinson Hill Baptist Church. He attended Jefferson County Schools. In his early years he worked as a Roofing Assistant. He was later employed at Wayne Battle Company. He enjoyed fishing, whistling, and sitting on the porch with the family. He is preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, William Walden, Jr and Charles Walden. Survivors include his wife: Earnestine Swint Walden, Wadley, GA; two sons, Rickey Walden, Jr. and Quenton Walden, Wadley, GA; one daughter, Habitha Walton, Wadley, GA; his siblings: Amanda Gibbons, Irvington, NJ, Rufus Walden (Mattie Holmes), Wadley, GA Brenda (Grant) Conaway, Newark, NJ, Linda Walden of Augusta, GA; They have five lovely grandchildren: Tyquez Johnson, Zyan Johnson, Quenton Walden Jr., Rickey Walden III, Ri’khyia Walden. a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Rickey Walden, Sr.
