Obituary For David Godwin

Mr. David Godwin, of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Marianna, Florida.

Graveside Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. from the cemetery of Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2135 Fairview Road in Marianna, Florida, with Pastor Margaret Robinson, officiating.

Mr. Godwin will lie in state from 12:00 P. M. until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 4:30 P. M. to 6:00 P. M. from the chapel of Vann Funeral Home.

Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidance will be followed for social distancing and wearing of masks for everyone’s safety during the viewing and the funeral service.

Mr. Godwin leaves to celebrate a life of lasting love and memories, a loving and devoted family:

Two Sons: Enrique Godwin of Marianna, Florida and Ferron Godwin of Cottondale, Florida

One Daughter: Selena Godwin of Chipley, Florida Four Stepchildren: Mark Lang of Dothan Alabama; Brandon Herring of Jakin, Georgia and Carlton and Danielle Herring both of Marianna, Florida

One Brother: Tony Godwin of Marianna, Florida

Four Sisters: Priscilla Godwin, Helen (Gary) Johns, Pamela Godwin and Lillie (Willie) Monroe all of Marianna, Florida

Six Grandchildren

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

Aww I can't believe today is the last day we get to say our good bye's. So hard to let this go David you will be greatly missed and I will forever treasure our love and friendship. We all stood in the gap to see you yesterday, Jennifer, Mary, Bev, and the other Mary. We love you remember that.

Awww I can't believe iam writing this saying goodbye to you hurt my heart we had so many good time together we talk about alot things and did alot.I so glad I got to talk to you just before this happen that phone call was everything...The love we shared with each other was everything..
