Obituary For Mary H. Moore

Mary H. Moore, 85 of Walnut Cove, NC passed April 11, 2022. Public visitation will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Rock Hill Baptist Church, Belews Creek, NC with the funeral service beginning at6 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

On April 11, 2022, Mary Helen Moore gained her heavenly wings. She was born to the late Daisy Hairston and William Flynt on November 4, 1936.

Helen, known to her family and friends, was educated in the Stokes County School system and worked for Burlington Industries for a number of years. She loved working outside in her yard and planting flowers.

She was a faithful member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, where she was on the Deaconess Board, Missionary Board and a former member of the Gospel Choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepbrother, David Hairston and stepsister, Rachel Flynt “Chicken” and her husbands, Robert Moore, Jr. and Ernest Warren.

Left to cherish her memory: her devoted daughter and son-in-law; Cynthia and John Hairston, four grandchildren; Patrick of Charlotte, NC, Tony (Lisa) of Winton Salem, NC, Tawonda of Kernersville, NC and Sadie (John) of Concord. Four great grandchildren; Landon, Skylan, Braylon, Kinsley, a devoted friend, Mother Marie Carrol and devoted cousin, Alice Manns along with a host of nephews, cousins and friends.
