Obituary For Willie Bee Manning

Mr. Willie Bee Manning was born December. 26, 1955, to the late Willie Edward and Thelma B Manning, of Dillon SC. He departed his earthly home on April 11, 2022, at Mcleod Medical Center Dillon, SC. ​He attended the public school system of Dillon County, Dillon, South Carolina. He was formerly employed by Jay Bee Drugs, Dillon Tire Service, Murrells Tire Service, Long Haul Truck Driving, Dillon Wood Works, current job Argos, and his family-owned business Willie Bee Manning Lawn & Recycling. He joined Mt. Hermon Church of God at an early age. He was an active member and faithful member for 62 years. Willie Bee was known for Taxicab driver, and the snowball man. He was a man of his word, and when he said that he would do something that’s exactly what he did. He was shy, yet quiet and always kept the peace. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, confidant, a hard worker, and a great community service worker. He was a person of compassion, love, honesty and dedication to his church as well as to his family. He would tell you the truth while being a great listener; Willie Bee was a great coworker that was dedicated to doing what was right. He sought out to help people not for recognition but because he loved and put his heart into all that he did. In 1973 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ethel Mae Manning. He was preceded in death with his parents Willie Edward and Thelma B Manning. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Ethel M. Manning; children McCall; children: LaToya P. Georgiev of the home, Willie C. Manning, and Joseph LaShawn Purnell; sisters and brothers Rosemary (Glen) Fullmore, Marjorie Manning, Sheila M. (Christopher E.) Taylor, all of Dillon, SC, Willie Bo (Vanessa) Leach of Augusta, Ga. and James E. (Alice) Manning of Dillon, SC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard McKellar, Henry Lee Jones, and John Henry (Joyce) McCall. Two special nephews Kalvin McCall and Derrick Jones both of Dillon, SC; one Special Aunt Blanche Hill of Sicklerville, NJ along with other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
