Obituary For Daisy Bowman

Daisy Bowman, 87 of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in the peace and love of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sylvania, Georgia, daughter of the late Edward and Carrie (Addison) Bowman, received her formal education in the Sylvania Public School System and was a former employee of the former New Cumberland Army Depot and the former Polyclinic Hospital. Ms. Bowman became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church on June 3, 1984 and remained a faithful member until her illness disabled her regular attendance. She was a loving, caring and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. In her leisure, she loved watching Western Movies. Some of her favorite foods were fried chicken, french fries, shrimp from Chan’s Restaurant and gummy life savers. Ms. Bowman leaves to carry on her life and legacy her three children, Willie “Joe”, Jacqueline “Jackie” and Mervin “Merv/Bo” Bowman; her eight grandchildren, Jimmie Bowman, Scottie Bowman, Charles Bowman, Jr., Helen Simon, Murvin Bowman, Dynea Bowman, Lynea Bowman-Stuart and Lyren Bowman; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her two sisters, Rebecca Bowman of Philadelphia, PA and Elizabeth Hickson (Robert) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her church family. Despite Ms. Bowman’s departure to enteral life, her legacy, memories of her and irreplaceable wisdom will be cherished for lifetimes to come. Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of her Church at 2339 N. 6th St. with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 12 Noon on Monday, April 18 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
