VILLE PLATTE - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Refuge Temple Church, 1305 Rev. E.D. Alfred St., Ville Platte, LA for Mrs. Irene Fontenot, 95, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Ville Platte, LA.

Bishop Aristile Vallier will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Fontenot’s memories are being cherished by: her daughter, Martha Fontenot of Ville Platte, LA; one sister, Ethelene Bellard of Mamou, LA; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Amos Fontenot; her parents, Orise and Mary Edward Bellard; two daughters, Rita Fontenot and Leona Fontenot; three brothers, Hersey Bellard, Murphy Bellard and Acelain Bellard; and eight sisters, Esther Dominick, Hazel Freeman, Mary Gallow, Mary Tezeno, Dorothy Goodley, Ethel Bellard, Gerith Goodley and Mildred Vigers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Refuge Temple Church.
