Emma attended school in Lowndes County. She later moved to New Jersey where she resided for 32 years. She returned to Valdosta over 30 years ago and united with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Carter Robinson and Earl Lee Robinson; her husband, Frank Rome, Sr.; two daughters, Emma Jean Archer and Janice Rome; one son, Frank Rome, Jr.; two sisters, Louis Williams and Louvenia Williams; one brother, E.L. Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted son and daughter, Larry Rome and Verdell Rome Conwell both of Valdosta, GA; one sister, Ethel Mae Loving (Jesse); one brother-in-law, Jewel Morgan (Rhudene); three grandchildren, Brett Rome, Natasha Lumpkins (Edgar) and Jemal Archer (Melissa); great grandchildren, Terasjah, Anari, Ariyah, Izannah, Reggie, Zalayah, Julian, Gillen, Sandro and Sienna; great great grandchildren, Suri, Syre and Bradon; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Morning Star Baptist Church. Pastor Naamen Hooker, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
