Obituary For Jimmie Peak

Jimmie Lee Peak was born on March 11, 1940 to the late Thomas James Peak, Sr. and the late Annie Bee Peak.

Jimmie will be remembered as a loving Husband and Father who went above and beyond to provide for his family whom he loved so very much.

Jimmie is most affectionately remembered for his compassion to help and serve others. His passions included trimming trees, lawn care service, fishing, fixing lawnmowers and in his younger days he acclaimed the name “The bicycle Man” because he fixed all the kids and the people of the neighborhood bicycles regardless of what was wrong with it. If you bought a bike to him you would be riding that same day.

Jimmie’s hobbies included riding motorcycles, fixing on things and hunting, Jimmie was known to make a meal out of almost anything. His daily task consisted of fishing, mowing his own yard and keeping the grounds of his own home that he loved and dedicated so much time to until he became ill. He also spent time fixing things and selling them at low prices to his peers and community.

Jimmie was a loyal and dedicated member of Shumate Street Church of Christ where he enjoyed attending service and had a special love and admiration for his Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Jimmie Lee Peak was very independent and loved to be needed and took pride in being a provider and protector for those he knew and loved. Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory, Wife, Neomia Peak; Children, Kenneth Peak, Vhonest Stevens-Lazaro, Cynthia Peak-Lopez, Polly Peak (Robert), Sue Peak-McCray (Nathan) And Tammy Peak-Williams (Alonzo); Children by marriage, Emmette Daniels, Patrica Small, James Watts, Gary Thompson, Shalonda Watts Deceased; Siblings, Freddie Lee Peak Deceased, Betty Murray Deceased, Mary Ann Thompkins, Thomas Peak, Jr., Cora Lee Phillips, Bessie Peak Jones Deceased, Lucille Jones Deceased, Pearlie Mae Hunter, Nancy Peak McGahee (Gary) and Lewis James Peak; 13 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; Grandsons, Da’juan Peak Deceased and Miguel Lazaro Deceased; Special Aunt, Cleo Carter Cushion; Special Great Great Aunt, Ella Louise King; Special Longtime Friend, Shepard Gross (Monkey) and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Jimmie Lee Peak will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shumate Street Church of Christ; Family Visitation: Friday, April 15, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel.
