Obituary For Lareatha T.L. Patterson

Lareatha Tanika Latrice Patterson was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1984, in Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois to Leroy Patterson and the late Lavernia Patterson. She was nurtured by Heidi Riker, whom she affectionally called “Mother”.

In the Summer of 2013 Lareatha allowed her daughters to attend Sunday School and then to become members of the Jerusalem Way of the Cross Church and 4 years later on Friday, June 23, 2017, Sister Patterson made one of the best decisions in her life, to go down in water in the Precious Name of Jesus!

Doing her tenure at Jerusalem, Sis. Patterson was humble and respectful under leadership and willingly accepted any project she was assigned to do.

Lareatha loved her ability to care for others while working at “A Nurse’s Touch Home Care.” Some of the hobbies she enjoyed doing in her leisure included fixing hair and watching Law & Order. She cherished her quality time spent with her son and Grandson and her talks and lunch dates with her friend Heidi.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 3 daughters and 1 son; Adrionna, Lavernia, Disaya and Avery; 1 Grandson, Ja’Kari; 5 sisters, Jasrielle, Jacquette, Quashonda, Tammy, and Dominque; 6 brothers, Jawuan, Leroyce, Leroy, Wesley, Demetrius and Beauvondae; close friend and mentor, Heidi; other relatives and friends.

Visitation services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the Jerusalem Way of The Cross Church, 2594 S. Main St., Rocky Mount, VA. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at Jerusalem Way of The Cross Church with Bishop Cleive Adams, Jr., Eulogist. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. Revelations 21:4 Trust in God. He will see you through this season of sorrow. Elder Charles Hairston and Family
