Gary Lee Goodner, 72, of Nevada, died April 17, 2022, at his Raleigh home.

Gary was born December 8, 1949, in Fallon, Nevada, to Winston and Helen Goodner.

He attended the University of Maryland at College Park where he graduated with a BA in Sociology.

He enjoyed watching any sporting event especially at the college level and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his sons Gary Lee Goodner II of Wesley Chapel, FL and Wes Goodner, his spouse Argelia, and two children Daisy and Mateo of Cary, NC; brother Michael Goodner, his spouse Marta of Ormond Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Winston Goodner, his mother Helen Goodner, and his eldest brother David Goodner.

Family will be holding a private ceremony.
