Obituary For Charity E. Martin

Charity E. Martin, 91, of Wagon Trail Road, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Stanleytown Health & Rehab Center. Born July 9, 1930, in Virginia, she was the daughter of Wythe Edwards and Fannie Redd Edwards who preceded her in death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Price Cornelius Martin; two sons, Bobby Martin, and Dennis R. Martin; five brothers, Dillard Edwards, Larkin Edwards, Robert Edwards, Moir Edwards, and Arthur Edwards; and one sister, Sarah Penn.

Charity was a faithful member of Bible Way Greater Assurance Ministries.

Those left to cherish her memory include: four sons, Larry Martin and his wife Pam of Richmond, VA, Bishop Randy Martin and his wife Daisy of Martinsville, VA, Terry Martin of Stuart, VA, and Derrick Martin of Ridgeway, VA; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Pitzer of Martinsville, VA, Barbara Dalton and Irish Patterson both of Ridgeway, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Bible Way Greater Assurance Ministries, 1310 S. Memorial Blvd., Martinsville, VA. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Bible Way Greater Assurance Ministries with Bishop Randy Martin, Eulogist. Burial will follow at the Spencer Family Cemetery, 753 Wagon Trail Road, Ridgeway, VA. Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required. All other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 753 Wagon Trail Rd., Ridgeway, VA.
