THE LIFE STORY OF OUR DIVA

On June 20th,1976 a diva was born to Byron Preston Latham and Fahn Anita Thomas, her name Cheneda LaVon Thomas! Five days after her birth, she was preceded in death by her father Byron. Cheneda was adopted a few years later by Sgt. Carlton W. Wicker after his union with her mother Fahn. Cheneda attended elementary school in Mannhiem, Germany and later attended High School at Litchfield High School. Cheneda furthered her education in cosmetology school.

Cheneda brought four beautiful, loving and successful children into this world with Howard Thomas, Zacolia, Chasite, Fahntassia & Byron.

She had a passion for making people look and feel beautiful. Cheneda was a serial entrepreneur, owning her own beauty salon, cosmetology school, online clothing store and hair product line that she created during her battle with Cancer, which she gracefully won!

Cheneda enjoyed all things beauty, hair, Fashion, shopping, cooking and she was well known for her popcorn balls and could be found at any time doing the most beautiful hair creations, couponing, decorating or making giveaways for people. Her laughter could fill a room and bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Her life here on this earth may have been short, however she filled it with plenty of Life and Love.

Those that preceded her in death are as follows: Her father Byron Latham, adoptive father Carlton Wicker, Grandparents; Hattie Bell Thomas, Eugene Worthy, Willie and Willow Dean Latham, Uncle Milton Latham, Aunt Patricia Fisher.

Cheneda is endearingly remembered and eternally missed by her Mother Fahn Anita Griffie; Children, Zacolia (Jeffrey) Harris, Chasite Thomas, Fahntassia Thomas, and Byron Wicker; Grandchildren, Jamarcus Thomas, Zaiden Thomas, Kylen Hicks, & Jory Harris.
