PLAISANCE – Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Mohorn Baptist Church in the Plaisance Community for Mr. Michael Goodley, 36, who entered eternal rest on Monday, April 18, 2022 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Rev. Nicholas Thomas, Sr., Pastor of Mohorn Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Goodley’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Janaire Goodley of Opelousas, LA; his mother, Clara Mae Goodley of Opelousas, LA; four sons, D’Andre Goodley, DaShaun Goodley, Karter Goodley and Michael Goodley II, all of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Kaelynn Goodley of Opelousas, LA; five brothers, Marcus Miller of Mamou, LA, Malcolm Goodley of Pearland, TX, Alpacino Thibodeaux of Florida, Derrick Hughes of Arkansas and Ryan Arvie of California; four sisters, Cynthia Jenkins (Shannon) of Pearland, TX, Alicia Thompson (Kendrick) of Lafayette, LA, Deanza (Tafi) of Atlanta, GA and Stephanie Goodley of Spring, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Willis Goodley, Jr.; his dad, Hilton Freeman, Sr.; and two brothers, Hilton Freeman, Jr. and Dwayne Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Mohorn Baptist Church.
